في عام 2019 تم توقيع بروتوكول تعاون بين مؤسسة التعليم أولاً ومؤسسة آل السويدي للخدمات والتنمية من أجل إنشاء مدرسة السويدي للتكنولوجيا التطبيقية بديرب نجم محافظة الشرقية لتصبح مؤسسة التعليم أولاً هي الشريك الأكاديمي لمؤسسة آل السويدي للخدمات والتنمية.
ويتمثل دور مؤسسة التعليم أولاً في مشاركة مجلس أمناء مؤسسة آل السويدي للتنمية في وضع رؤية وفلسفة المدرسة والإشراف الكامل على تجهيز المبنى (الورش – المعدات – الأثاث – البنية التكنولوجية) ووضع معايير القبول بالمدرسة والإشراف على الاختبارات التحريرية بالتنسيق مع وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني والمقابلات الشخصية للطلاب الجدد والكشف الطبي الخاص باختيار الطلاب واختبارات المدرسين من المنتدبين من داخل الوزارة وخارجها، والإعداد والإشراف على المعسكر الطلابي التأهيلي للطلاب الجدد وهو معسكر تأهيلي لمدة أسبوعين يقام بالمدينة التعليمية بالسادس من أكتوبر ويتم فيه إعداد الطلبة بدنياً وأكاديمياً عبر دورات تدريبية وتثقيفية وعمل أنشطة ورحلات لهم على مدار المعسكر.
كما تقوم المؤسسة بالإشراف على التدريب الميداني للطلاب وإجراء التقييمات الخاصة بالمدرسين والإداريين ووضع الهيكل التنظيمي ولائحة الانضباط بالمدرسة بالتنسيق مع وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني.
وقد كانت تجربة التعليم أولاً في دعم مؤسسة السويدي للتكنولوجيا التطبيقية بديرب نجم بمحافظة الشرقية تجربة فريدة وهي التجربة الوحيدة التي خاضتها المؤسسة في غمار التعليم الفني في مصر إيماناً منها بأهمية هذا النوع من التعليم، ويقيناً منها بأن التعليم الفني هو قاطرة التنمية في مصر.
In 2019, a cooperation protocol was signed between Education First Foundation and Al-Suwaidi Foundation for Services and Development to establish Al-Suwaidi School of Applied Technology in Derb Negm, Sharqia Governorate. Education First became the academic partner of Al-Suwaidi Foundation for Services and Development.
Education First’s role includes collaborating with Al-Suwaidi Foundation’s Board of Trustees to set the school’s vision and philosophy, supervising the full preparation of the building (workshops, equipment, furniture, technological infrastructure), establishing admission standards, overseeing written exams in coordination with the Ministry of Education, conducting interviews and medical exams for new students, selecting teachers from inside and outside the ministry, and preparing and supervising a two-week student orientation camp at the Sixth of October Educational City, which includes physical and academic training, educational workshops, and activities and trips throughout the camp.
The foundation also supervises students’ field training, evaluates teachers and administrative staff, and establishes the school’s organizational structure and discipline regulations in coordination with the Ministry of Education.
Education First’s support for Al-Suwaidi School of Applied Technology in Derb Negm, Sharqia Governorate, was a unique experience and the only initiative undertaken by the foundation in vocational education in Egypt, reflecting its belief in the importance of this type of education and its conviction that vocational education is the engine of development in Egypt.
